| Paediatric Research - 20/09/2010 In 2006 the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) awarded funding to a partnership: South East, North Central and East London (SENCE) to enable a paediatric research team as part of the Medicines for Children Research Network. SENCE based on a team of 6 paediatric research nurses, manager and clinical directors, has over the last 3 years supported 95 studies and the recruitment of over 1000 children. It is now time for SENCE to develop across the whole of London and the South East and we are delighted to have support from the Comprehensive Local Research Network to achieve this. This roadshow will describe the success of the network to date, indicate the challenges we face but also suggest solutions. Working together we can double the capacity for children's research, facilitate and support new collaborations and provide new opportunities for studies. This will also be an opportunity to find out about the working of the National Speciality Group for Paediatrics (Non-medicines). | |
