| Description: | To develop the core knowledge of health and social care staff and facilitate further development of their skills and confidence when working with people affected by stroke and their families. This course is aligned to the Stroke Core Competencies for Healthcare Staff, developed by NHS Education Scotland (NES 2005). The course content and delivery has been endorsed by NES. |

| Further Information: | Outcomes: Each individual session has a specific aim and learning outcomes which are aligned to the Stroke Core Competencies. By the end of the course participants will have enhanced their knowledge and skills related to stroke care and be able to identify areas for further personal learning and development. |
